3.2 Increase resource efficiency through recycling of residues or remanufacturing of used products and components
TUIASI-TEPM team is interested in submitting a proposal as project coordinator and/or partner in the following topics of the ERA-MIN3 join call:

3.1. Increase resource efficiency through recycling of residues or remanufacturing of used products and components (replace conventional non-regenerable raw materials from civil engineering applications with mine tailings through the geopolymerisation technology)
Topic 4. Recycling and Re-use of End-of-Life products and assets
4.4: Recovery of raw materials from End-of-life products (Use mine tailings as raw materials for new geopolymers manufacturing).
TUIASI-TEPM approaches the development of an ecological technology for the recovery/recycling of mining waste through geopolymerization. Accordingly, the possibility of partial or total substitution of non-renewable natural resources with mining waste will be analyzed, in order to synthesize new products with superior characteristics to conventional materials.
We are aiming to co-operate in the filed of water purification, civil engineering, fire protection and medical engineering.
The research infrastructure of „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University, Departament of Technologies and Equipment for Materials Processing (TUIASI-TEPM) consist of a high number of analytical methods and modern testing/analyzing equipment’s.
