Toros Agri wants to be a partner of a Era-Min 3 project proposal which is interested in management of PG for safe and long terms utilization as construction or road bed material. Toros Agri wants to develop re-use and recycling processes of Phosphogypsum.
Phosphogypsum (PG), a phosphate fertilizer manufacturing process by-product, has been gaining attention in re-use and recycling processes because valorization of industrial wastes is of great importance. We have approximately 24 MTon PG reserve located in two of total three facilities and looking for eligible partners for a project based on the management of PG for safe and long terms utilization as construction or road bed material.

Toros Agri R&D Centre is established in Mersin Production Plant to improve its product portfolio with new techniques and innovations in the field of Plant Nutrition. There are 1 PhD graduate, 5 PhD candidate, 4 MSc graduate, 3 MSc candidate level researchers in the team. R&D group is responsible of developing new fertilizers and application methods for different crops. National and international cooperation projects are carried out with researchers from many different disciplines such as chemistry, agriculture, biotechnology, physics, molecular biology and genetics.
The R&D group is responsible for developing new fertilizers and application methods for different products and carries out various research and development activities in order to find creative and permanent solutions to existing problems in fertilizer production. Quality studies and research experiment continue in the chemistry laboratory. Apart from industrial scale production, pilot scale applications of fertilizers are performed by designing and installing different equipment. Field trials are conducting in different cropping types at different regions of Turkey with farmers. Besides, greenhouse study has been started to operate and pot experiments are carried out for a new fertilizer formula. In addition to all these, taking part in various scientific organizations and following and directing research and development activities for the current industry.
